This is my twelfth year teaching in the Knox County School system. Before moving to Knoxville, I taught second and third grade in the Norfolk Public School system in Virginia. When we moved to Knoxville, I took off a few years to stay at home with my four sons. I taught third, fourth, and fifth grades at Beaumont Honors Academy. Here at Farragut Intermediate I've taught third grade for three years. Finally, I was promoted to fifth grade. My sons are involved in soccer and cross country. My three oldest sons attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. My youngest son attends Farragut High School. I teach because I love it! I love the kids, their energy, and their constant thirst for life and learning. When I am not at school, I enjoy reading and needlepoint. I also love roller coasters and haven’t met one that has kept me from riding again. My family is very important to me and I try to do my best at being a mom and wife. I have been married for 26 years and have lived in Knoxville for 20 years. My husband and I enjoy running around to soccer games and cross country races with our boys or going to amusement parks to try out the different roller coasters. | |
